Foggy mornings and warm afternoons, leaves are getting red and orange and days are getting shorter. Autumn is here. If I was in Finland we would be celebrating the beginning of summer but I guess it's snowing over there so no need for party. Anyways you can almost smell the winter in here and I love it, it means it's almost time to hit the road and head for new adventures. I'm ready now after a few months in Hawkes Bay working like crazy I can finally say that I want to leave. Even tho I still have three and a half weeks to earn the rest of the needed money and spend quality time with my friends. I hate goodbyes but I love the feeling of going away, I just need to prepare myself for it.
Every morning I wake up 15 to 5 to make my coffee and to drive to the stables. 6.30 we head to the racecourse and ride those cool as race horses til 9.30 then it's time to head back to the stables to feed them lunch and finally go get some breakfast for myself. Riding makes me feel free, it's like having that perfect powder snow or a breath taking sunset surf session but not as good as either of those two. And that's the reason why I'm ready to start something new, to turn the page and head for new adventures.
So how am I getting ready for the ultimate internship programme? Yes you heard right I'm heading to Queenstown this winter to be an EA ski&snowboard grand ambassador and to get qualified as a ski instructor, pretty cool I think.
I've got my gear almost sorted out. My mom is coming over from Abu Dhabi so I got her to bring my winter clothing and boots all the way from Finland. My snowboard arrived a couple moths ago from Christchurch and my skis are still in search. I also got my mom to bring me some rye bread and Finnish chocolate to fuel up my body that I'm keeping strong by going to the gym.
I also got a wild bean coffee card for the roadtrip that I'm doing to get down to Queenstown, not sure if it's gonna help but at lest to have one.
Upeeta! Tsemppiä uusiin kuvioihin ja nauttikaa matkasta mamman kanssa ❤️-Kati.
